Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day....
Weather on the Oregon Coast is usually overcast and dreary this time of year, but we got lucky with a week full of sunny blue skies with mild temperatures.
Our family spent most mornings and afternoons at the expansive beachfront, and otherwise hunkered down at Nana and Grandpa's house to play games, solve puzzles, read books and eat plenty of deliscious food!
We also hiked a few nature trails and made a few trips into town to swim at the YMCA's indoor pool, eat some locally caught fish n' chips and devour ice cream at the Tillamook Creamery.
Of course, as the calendar year flipped, I also jumped into the Pacific Ocean for my annual polar bear plunge. Compared to Chicago's typical weather this time of year, it was an relatively warm and easy dip!
