Mt. Baker Snowboarding
We set out for Mt. Baker at dawn.
The fog was so thick I wondered how our day on the slopes might fare.
A splash of sunshine atop some distant foothills was an encouraging sight.
The road cut through a thick hallway of trees.
The trees grew thick and snowcovered the closer we got to Mt. Baker.
Some stretches seemed to have accumulated plenty of snow.
At long last.
Like magic, the gloomy weather turned sunny as we neared our destination.
I couldn't ask for better weather.
Getting around.
This was the spot opposite our slope where we saw an avalance earlier in the day.
Our drive back down the mountain was bathed in an incredibly luminescent twilight.
