We awoke to discover Sedona covered in snowfall, engulfed in fog and illuminated by eerie morning light.

Meanwhile breakfast was being prepared inside.
I've learned you can't have an Ansorge family gathering without a round of Dutch Babies.
Kate and Gretchen work on a puzzle, another Ansorge tradition.
By the afternoon the sky had cleared up and the sun was already melting away the night's snowfall.
Quite a difference just a few hours can make around here.
As nice as the scenery was before, I certainly appreciated the unexpected change.

It was hard to believe our surroundings looked like this just a day ago.
The morning's snowmelt made parts of the trail pretty muddy.

Nestled below the canyons are several homes.
We spotted a couple of those Pink Jeeps around these parts.
We visited the Chapel of the Holy Cross (aka Church on the Rock).
We also grabed a pint and several baskets full of peanuts at one of Sedona's local breweries.
